The Thoroughbreds in Equestrian Sport programme (TiES) is proudly brought to you by New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing, and was established in 2014 to demonstrate the versatility of the breed and increase the uptake of retired racers into equestrian sports. Thoroughbreds gain points in eligible classes across the season in the disciplines of eventing, dressage/para-dressage, show jumping, show hunter, and endurance and competitive trail riding (CTR). The programme is funded by the 1% levy on stakes.
TiES Series and Competitions are finished for 2024-2025 for Dressage, Jumping, Show Hunter and Endurance/CTR, with just a few events left for Eventing.
Here’s a look at the standout performers across the TiES divisions:
TiES Accumulator Series – Sponsored by NZTR
This series rewards consistency across the season, highlighting horses who have demonstrated skill and reliability.
TiES Best Performed – Sponsored by NZTR
Celebrating the horses who delivered exceptional performances across their respective disciplines, at Defender Horse of the Year and the National Three Day Championships.
TiES Jumping Futurity – Sponsored by NZTR
This exciting competition featured strong performances in both the North and South Island Finals, demonstrating the Thoroughbred’s agility and capability in jumping disciplines.
Our congratulations to all.
