New Zealand Bloodstock Newcomer Award

New Zealand Bloodstock is proud to be at the forefront of a new sponsorship incentive known as the New Zealand Bloodstock Best Newcomer Award, forming part of the NZTR Thoroughbreds in Equestrian Sports (TiES) Accumulator Series.

Working in partnership with Equestrian Sports New Zealand and NZTR, New Zealand Bloodstock will sponsor the award, first introduced for the 2022-23 season, recognising the success and versatility of thoroughbreds in equestrian sports.

The New Zealand Bloodstock Best Newcomer title will be contested for in conjunction with the TiES Accumulator Series, with NZB offering a prize of $2,000 to first year winners of each discipline, totalling $8,000 in spoils.

The eligible disciplines within the Series include dressage, eventing, show jumping and show hunter for thoroughbreds newly registered with ESNZ.

NZB is a proud supporter of not only the racing and breeding industries, but various initiatives and events that align with racehorses off the track, supporting them in their show of versatility, athleticism and second careers after racing.

To be eligible to compete in the TiES NZB Best Newcomer Award, a contender’s thoroughbred must be registered with the New Zealand Thoroughbred Studbook, as well as Equestrian Sports New Zealand and be competing in their first season with ESNZ.
