James Avery and Gorgeous DHI was the best of the Kiwis in the CSI3*-S at the Keysoe International Horse Trials in the UK at the weekend.

They added nothing to their 33.6 penalty point dressage score to finish in ninth place amongst the 85-strong class which was won by Piggy March (nee French) and Cooley Lancer on 27.6.

James was also 14th aboard Cooley Lord Lux on 35.6, 27th with Goldfinger on 40.4, and finished on a score of 55.5 with DHI Highlight. Tayla Mason and Gino Gingerino finished the day on 52.8 with Nick Brooks and For Fame on 56.7 while Bruce Haskell and Amiro Sky retired on the cross country.

Bruce teamed up with Ex Cavaliers Law to finish 12th in the CCI2*-S with a score of 35.3. The class was won by Charlotte Andrews and Millhollow Classic on 29.4.
