ESNZ Eventing is delighted to announce the combinations selected for the long list for the Senior and Young Rider teams to compete in the Oceania competition 2024. The Oceania competition is being hosted by Land Horse of the Year from 8-10th March 2024 following the postponement of the 2023 competition due to Cyclone Gabrielle.
The successful Senior long list combinations are:

- Matthew Grayling and Trudeau
- Rebecca Wardle and Dingmac Eccles
- Sofie Boswell and Anastasia
The successful Young Rider long list combinations are:
- Bridie Quigley and Oranoa Grayson
- Brooke Chandler and Im Bruce
- Mackenzie Marlo and CHS Diplomat + DSE Presley
- Mia Gilbert and Schnapps MH
- Scout Lodder and Kingsguard, Money Shot + Overnight Success
- Sonya Benison and As Good As You Get
As per the call for applications on the ESNZ website here, the Oceania competition will comprise of one Senior team and one Young Rider team representing NZ and one Senior team and one Young Rider team representing Australia. The teams will each comprise of four (4) horse and rider combinations with the three (3) best scores counting for the final team classification. The combinations will also compete as individuals.
KEY DATES
- 5th and 6th February XC camp, Taupo NEC
- Long list may be revised to a short list after the XC camp.
- 26th February Teams selected (following Springbush)
- 1st – 2nd March Teams Preparation Camp, Taupō NEC (will include a final vet inspection)
