It is with much excitement that we congratulate Heather McDonald on successfully fulfilling all requirements and examinations to become a FEI Level 3 – Jumping – Course designer.  Heather’s appointment has now been confirmed by the FEI. 

 

Heather will be known to many for her experience assisting different Course Designers at World Cup level and also fulfilling the role of Course Designer for several CSI1* events.  She is also a highly regarded Technical Delegate.

 

Since 2017, as a Level 2 Course Designer, Heather has assisted at seven World Cup shows, with four of these being in the last three years.  She has been Course Designer at four CSI1* shows in the last three years.  It is now fitting to see Heather’s services and expertise acknowledged with appointment to Level 3 where she may now take on the role of Course Designer at World Cup events.

 

The changing requirements within the FEI Education System have required several discussions to clarify the impact on New Zealand officials.  During a recent visit to the FEI Forum, Julian Bowden in is role of Secretary General met with Frank Spadinger Director Education & Officials and Marco Fusté FEI Jumping Director, opening the understanding of FEI competition in New Zealand and paving the way for further assistance with development of FEI Officials.

 

There are exciting times ahead however today belongs to Heather – congratulations Heather McDonald joining the ranks of FEI Level 3 Course Designer.
