The Kiwis are on fire at the Kronenberg Horse Trials in The Netherlands with Tim Price and Clarke Johnstone both leading their respective classes.

World no.9 Tim and Falco are at the front of the CCI4*-L at the end of the dressage with a 23.6-penalty point effort. He’s also in fourth aboard Coup de Coeur Dudevin on 30.7, with Caroline Powell and High Time in 16th on 39.2.

Clarke and Rocket Man have held on to their lead in the CCI3*-S after the dressage and showjumping tests and remain on their 29-penalty point dressage score.

Clarke is also the best of the Kiwis in the 66-strong CCI4*-S, sitting just inside the top 10 aboard Aces High on a score of 31.4 after the dressage and showjumping tests after adding just a smidgen of time in the latter. Caroline Powell and Greenacres Special Cavalier have zipped up the leaderboard to sit in 14th remain on their 32.2 dressage score. James Avery and MBF Connection also added nothing to their 32.5 dressage effort to move up to 18th.

Clarke and Domasco sit on 35.8, Caroline and Legally Grey on 37.7, Caroline with CBI Aldo on 37.9, and James on 41.1. Tom McEwen (GBR) and JL Dublin lead the field on 20.9.

There’s plenty to play for with an influencing cross country to come overnight.
