Auckland’s Morgan Abel-Pattinson had a very successful EvoEvents Championships taking out the FEI Level Young Rider Championship with Don Tobio and reserve champion FEI Junior Champion with Revelwood Smirnoff.
The sixteen year old Auckland student trains with Louisa Hill to whom she extends her heartfelt thanks, and also to her mother Catherine for entrusting her by giving her the ride this season on her own horse, the imported 15 yr old bay mare Revelwood Smirnoff (Smash Hit/Donna Prima/Donnerhall). This combination has quickly made their mark recently achieved an impressive 3rd place overall at the Auckland Manuka Dressage Championships in Advanced Medium.
Morgan’s FEI Young Rider and Int I horse is the 11 yr old black gelding Don Tobio (Donnerubin /Gala MH), previously campaigned by Rebecca Williamson. This pair have forged a very successful partnership and were the top placed Under 21 combination scoring 69.7% in the Freestyle and 63.9% in the FEI Young Rider Individual Test, and narrowly into second place on both occasions at this level to her experienced namesake Morgan (Beere) on Redwood Furst Affair.
