ESNZ Jumping have named an exciting team to compete in the Young Rider Trans-Tasman clash being held in Sydney next month.

ESNZ high performance jumping manager Oliver Edgecombe says the Trans-Tasman clash is a great opportunity for the young riders to gain team experience which will hopefully lead them to success in senior teams.

The 1.20m indoor competition, being run at the Sydney Show Jumping World Cup from August 17-20, is done on borrowed horses with teams swapping mounts over the three days. The annual clash has been running for many years, albeit has been affected by COVID recently.

The Australians will be looking to back up their victory during the last meeting which was held in Gisborne in January. However, given that was their first win in the hotly contested battle since 2017, the Kiwis will be out to reclaim those all-important bragging rights.

The team;
Georgia Bouzaid (Australia)
Johanna Wylaars (Christchurch)
Liam Rutland (Te Awamutu)
Samantha Gillies (Oamaru)
Dylan Bibby – Reserve (Central Hawkes Bay)
