ESNZ Jumping is delighted to announce the acceptance of an invitation from Equestrian Australia to compete in a Trans-Tasman Young Rider Test to be held at the Waratah Show Jumping World Cup, Sydney NSW 17th – 20th August 2023.
We are seeking expressions of interest from riders who would like to be part of this self-funded teams event.
Hosts Equestrian Australia will provide accommodation for the 4 riders and 1 Chef d’Equipe plus some meals. Selected riders will be responsible for all flights to Sydney – Australia, transportation during the time in Australia and personal incidentals.
The Trans-Tasman Young Rider Challenge is an annual event that has traditionally been a gripping battle between the nations, it was last contested in NZ in January 2023 where Australia claimed a narrow victory.
A team of four riders will travel to Australia to compete in the test, which will be held indoors and on borrowed horses. The ESNZ Jumping selectors will select the team.
