Aussie-based Kiwi eventer Madison Seivwright and Waitangi Pinterest have finished fourth in the CCI4*-L at the Melbourne International Three Day Event rounding out a great season without a single jump fault. “I was a little disappointed with her dressage as we are definitely better than that,” said Madison, “but she was her usual outstanding self in both jumping phases. We were well up on our time in the cross country until we went into the mansion grounds. It was deep bog for about two minutes so I decided to back off and get her home safely. I am really proud of her especially since she hasn’t incurred a single jump fault this season.”

Madison and Waitangi scored 31.7 in the dressage, added 12 time in the cross country and were all clear in the showjumping Monday afternoon for a final tally of 43.7. The 18-strong class was won by Olivia Barton aboard Hollyander HG who finished on 35.5 penalty points with David Middleton and WEC In The Breeze second on 40, and Andrew Cooper aboard Sharvalley Thunder third on 41.6. Just 11 combinations completed all three phases, with four retirements and two eliminations on the cross country.

Andy Daines and Hat Trick finished fourth in the CCI3*-L with their 39.4 penalty point effort. Teegan Ashby and Magic Mushroom TAE headed home the 18 other combinations on 30.8, with Sophia Hill and Seattle Park second on 35.1, and Samuel Jeffree aboard Santoro third on 37.3. Andy was also seventh in the CCI2*-L aboard Dom Perignon MVH on a score of 33.4. The class was won by Will Enzinger aboard Epic Xtreme who finished on their dressage score of 27.7.
