ESNZ Eventing is seeking expressions of interest from combinations wishing to be considered for the New Zealand Senior and Young Rider Oceania teams. The 2023 Senior and Young Rider Oceania Teams Championship will be run as part of the Land Rover Horse of the Year Show 10-12 March 2023.
The Oceania competition will be comprised of two Senior teams and two Young Rider teams from New Zealand and Australia. The Teams event will be run concurrently with the Land Rover Horse of the Year Show on separate consecutive days in the CCI3*-S format for Young Riders and CCI4*-S format for Seniors.
The teams will comprise of four (4) horse and rider combinations, with the best three (3) scores counting for the final team classification. The combinations will also compete as individuals.

The Eventing Selectors will be taking into account a wide range of factors, including the competition performance record of the rider and the horse as a combination from 1 November 2020 with particular emphasis being placed on recent performances at FEI events.
It is anticipated that a short-list for the two teams will be named by the end of December 2022 and for the listed combinations to attend a training camp in early February and for final team selection to be made following the Springbush Hunua Horse Trials in late February.
