The entries have closed at the NRM3DE and numbers are up in the three FEI Championship classes.

Event director Sarah Bromley is pleased with how things are shaping up.

“It is great to see good numbers in the Championship classes,” she says. “It is really exciting to have 19 entries in for the NRM CCI3* and strong fields in both the Bates CCI2* and Fiber Fresh CCI1* Championships too.”

The CCI2* national title class has attracted 25 entries, with 49 on the card for the CCI1* championship. The AMS Saddlery and Prestige Equestrian CCI1* Open has 22 entries, with a whopping 48 entered in the Wairakei Resort CCN105 Championship and 37 in the Taupo Veterinary Centre CCN105 Open. Entries are a little down on last year in the Equissage Young Event Horse National Championship, with 17 entered, however inclement weather last year saw a surge in entries when qualification requirements were waived.

“We’re looking forward to another great event and have our fingers crossed the weather plays along this year,” says Bromley.

The NRM 3DE gets underway with the National Young Event Horse Championship on Thursday, May 10, with the three day classes all starting on the Friday.
