The Secondary Schools Interschools Championships are an opportunity for our younger riders to try something new, and is set out so riders can take part in different disciplines as well as supporting their teammates. Alongside the competition there will be educational and fun activities as well as a new Team Sportsmanship award.
Yes, the Interschools teams championships are back and they’re on now! Follow the action on our Facebook and Instagram pages from 28-31 August at the Dunstan Fiber Fresh NEC, McLeans Island and the Fiber Fresh NEC, Taupo.
This unique, multi-discipline event is being held by Equestrian Sports New Zealand, the New Zealand Secondary School Sports Council (NZSSSC) and the New Zealand Pony Clubs Association. The champs are an opportunity for our school-aged riders to try something new, and the timetable is set out so riders can take part in different disciplines as well as supporting their teammates. This unique, secondary schools, multi discipline event offers riders the opportunity to take part in Competitive Trail Riding (CTR), Jumping/Show Hunter, Dressage and Arena eventing.
