The success of all well run Dressage events is dependent on the talents and commitment of our priceless volunteers.
There are a many ways to get involved in the dressage community and events, not all of them even involving a horse!
Offering to volunteer will give you the opportunity to meet new people, learn new leadership and team skills and develop confidence around horses
There are a vast array of roles supporting and surrounding dressage , without which the activity in most groups or clubs, organisations and events would not be able to function.
Rarely do dressage volunteers use the term ‘volunteer’ to describe their activities. Their roles are varied and they more often see themselves at events as general helpers or assistants, officials, event organisers, writers (for dressage judges) runners (collecting the dressage sheets and collating them for the scorer) or stewards. Supporting events and clubs behind the scenes are treasurers, judges officers, secretaries, committee members, media co-ordinators, and photographers.
Volunteer of the Month AwardThis Award recognises community volunteers, helping Area groups highlight individuals and promote appreciation. It acknowledges both short-term achievements and ongoing efforts to encourage volunteers and support Area Dressage Group goals. Selection focuses on recent acts of service, leadership, or creativity supporting Area activities.
