Down in Ashburton, Johanna Wylaars picked up the first prize in the FMG Young Rider, but only just! Johanna rode Demietta through the flags in 46.16 and all clear, but Ruby Rae-Wood and TMS Annabella were just a whisker behind as they stopped the timers in 46.18 and all clear. Octavia Queen/Don Quattro) also took out the NZPH Seven Year Old Breeding Series with the only clear round.

Sophie Townsend topped the podium in a competitive jump off in The Brave Pants Company Pro Am, where the top three all jumped a double clear. Sophie and Haupouri Heidi NZPH finished their round in 43.36, Hayley Curd and My Miranda stopped the clock in 44.47 for second place, and Harriet Gardner finished in third aboard Endeavour I in 51.49.

Maygen Gubb and PL Fox D’Amour won the Mainland Coachwork Junior Rider with the only clear, and the Dunstan Horsefeeds Amateur Rider saw two competitors battle it out in the jump off. Jackie Wear and Zola CSNZ were the quickest to finish on top of the leaderboard, and Andrew Munro rode Estelle to second place, with both jumping a double clear.

 

Molly Buist-Brown was the outright winner of the New Zealand Warmblood Association Six Year Old Breeding Series, riding SLE Limoncello (Pennsylvania x NVME/Voltaire II, bred by Jan Hunt).

With wild weather battering the majority of the country over the weekend, competitors at Feilding would have been thrilled with having the use of the indoor arena!

 

Robert Steele fronted a small field that came forward in the Property Brokers Grand Prix. Riding Rosehill Park Hermes, he finished with a total of four faults, ahead of Chloe Hansen with Stevenson ECPH who finished on eight faults for second place. Maurice Beatson rode Dynavyte Corysian Ego Z into third place with twelve faults.

Daniella Jelliman continued her dream season, taking the quinella in the AMS Saddlery Pony Grand Prix. She jumped the only clear on Tallyho Scoundrel to take the win, and four faults on Korokipo Kid was good enough for second place. Madeline Honeyfield came in third aboard Gaucho with eight faults.

 

Lucy Fell jumped the only clear on her spicy Faratona STS to win The Brave Pants Company Pro Am, as did Chloe Armstrong on Benrose Casino ECPH in the FMG Young Rider. Henry Martin came in second place with four faults on Lagertha VWNZ. Henry went one better in the Mainland Coachwork Junior Rider when he took out the class after jumping the sole clear on Kiwi Strike.

 

Dana Sutton and Laura Knight shared the win in the Dunstan Horsefeeds Amateur Rider. Both jumped a clear first round, Dana riding A&P Conqueror and Laura riding Aria.

 

Elyza McDonald extended her lead on the Main-Events Tertiary Series Leaderboard when she picked up another win here on De Silver Lining.

 

Auckland Show Jumping celebrated Valentines Day with their pop up show at Abderry Equine, an event that was well received by all. Regan Calder just had to complete the course to take out the win in the AMS Saddlery Pony Grand Prix, and that she did, riding TRS Sniper for a clear round.

 

The Brave Pants Pro Am saw five combinations head into the jump off, with three of those going double clear. Georgia Milner headed the leaderboard on LT Holst Teachers Pet, finishing in a time of 35.90, Cindy Page rode Crispr Caz Nine to second place in 36.79, and Glen Beal’s time of 40.62 was good enough for third place on Soprano.

 

The Mainland Coachwork Junior Rider also hosted a big jump off, with six heading into the second round, and four jumping a second clear round. Brooke Scrivener was victorious aboard Onward, with Hannah McConnel riding Caviar and Yun FanLing on Caesar NZPH filling second and third spots respectively.
