Speedy Sofia’s Grand Win.

The Orizen Tyres Wellington-Horowhenua Leicester Jarden Memorial Show was a special one, as it recognised the lifelong contribution to the sport made by legendary course designer Leicester Jarden. A trophy in his name was presented by his daughter, Bretta Jarden, to Kelly Smith who won the Bretta Jarden Real Estate 1.40m Speed class.

“We are so pleased to have his (Leicester Jarden’s) daughter here supporting us, top lifestyle real estate agent and all round top lady, Bretta Jarden.”

Siobhan Ryan is a busy lady, it’s amazing that she found time to fit in riding amongst being a big part of running the show with her role as the Wellington area secretary. Riding Freehold, she was the quickest of four double clears to take the win. Muzi James finished in second place riding On the Cards, and Deanna Vink in third aboard Maddox DHU.
