It’s been a cracker WEC Ocala Summer Series 7 CSI2* Show in Florida for Georgia Bouzaid and Sharn Wordley.
Georgia Bouzaid and Copabella Voltage placed third in the $65,000 1.45m CSI2* Grand Prix – the big drawcard for the week at the show. The Kiwi combo were one of 10 combinations from the 28-strong start list to come back for the jump-off where they were double clear in 41.2 seconds. The class was won by Paul O’Shea (IRL) aboard Hellcat in 40.14 with Peter Petschenig (Austria) aboard Wannabe CS second in 41.16. The top six were all double clear. Georgia and Voltage were also eighth in the 1.45m CSI2* speed class.
Sharn picked up a full podium in 1.45m classes. Aboard Champion League he won the CSI2* Grand Prix Qualifier, placing third in the same class with Conto Blanco 4. Nineteen started the class with just four coming back for the jump-off where Sharn and Champion League were double clear in 41.25 seconds to take the win. Conto Blanco 4 had four faults in its 41.83 second round for third. He and Conto Blanco 4 were also third in the CSI2* 1.4m two phase special.
Sharn and Hagelin placed second in the 20-strong $50,000 WEC 1.45m Grand Prix. Twelve of the original 20 starters came back for the jump-off where the top six all continued to keep their slates clean. Sharn and Hagelin crossed the flags in 39.371 seconds with winner Todd Minikus (USA) and Kiekeboe Spirit coming home in 37.964.

Annabel Francis placed second and 10th with Nebraska Van’t Vianahof and Thomascourt Victor in the 1.4m-1.45m Grand Prix at the Peelbergen Pro Tour Sunshine National Show in Kronenberg. Forty-four combinations started the class with the top five double clear. Liesje Vrolijk (NED) and Liesje Vive! won the class, coming home in 41.48 seconds with Nebraska second in 43.65.
