Dressage NZ Board, Committee, Sub-Committee & Other Vacancies 2025

As we move into a new year, there are opportunities to be involved in Dressage at a Board and Committee level. These roles are vital to a vibrant future of our sport – be prepared to make a commitment and join our team 

1. Dressage Board Chair
Nominations are open for this elected position. (3-year term with the possibility of further terms) years ) This role has overarching responsibility Dressage Board Directorship. Travel and accommodation expenses to Board meetings are paid as required.

2. Finance Officer – Board
This is an appointed position. EOI are open. The FO role is under review as DRESSAGE financial management transitions to ESNZ Central. It is envisaged the role will be largely in a financial advisory capacity, with assistance in preparing budgets and overview of YTD performance in addition to Board governance & directorship. Travel and accommodation expenses to Board meetings are paid as required.

3. Technical Officer – Board
This is an appointed Board position – providing technical knowledge to the Board as required, in addition to Board governance & directorship and leading the Technical Committee. Travel and accommodation expenses to Board meetings are paid as required.

4. Other Vacancies

a) Committee Representative to Appointment Panel. Elected position
Nominations are open. This role may come from within the current committee or may be an ESNZ member not currently on the committee as an area voting delegate or other role. The Chair and Vice Chair along with this elected member make up the Dressage NZ Appointment panel

b) 2 X Island Rider Reps (Committee Voting Positions) Elected by riders
Nominations are open. If more than one nomination for either role is received an on line election will be held.

c) 2 X Dressage NEC Reps to each Island NEC. EOI invited for one Dressage rep to each NEC. (Not committee voting members)

d) Coach Rep on Development Committee: EOI invited. This is a two-year term working with the Development Committee to assist Dressage NZ achieve strategic outcomes and programmes for members.

e) Development Committee Administrator: EOI invited. This is a two-year term working with the Development Committee to assist Dressage NZ achieve strategic outcomes and programmes for members.
