What is Discovering the Dressage Connection ?
Dressage NZ is committed to developing Dressage in New Zealand at all levels, including training for & riding in competition, judging, and coaching.
We aim to foster more discussion and learning among riders, judges, and coaches throughout the country. The Development Committee believes that one effective step towards this objective is to organise a series of:
“Discovering the Dressage Connection”
These events propose to generate learning and discussion between everyone involved in the riding of dressage tests at competitions. The way the test is viewed and judged and then the opportunity to discuss training and development to improve the way of going, harmony and performance.
Riders, Judges, coaches, fans judges, people possibly interested in becoming a judge, in fact anyone with an interest in dressage and developing their horse and skills will find this a fun and informative discussion day.
There will be three parts of education offered:
1. Theory Evening session the day prior with the FEI or List A Judges and a Coach Educator
2. Judges to judge tests and give feedback to the riders (Max 10 riders per arena per day)
3. Coaches watching and discussing ways of how to improve the performance and giving collective feedback via the Coach Educator
