Equestrian Sport New Zealand (ESNZ) Eventing is seeking a full-time Sport Manager to cover a parental leave period from mid-June 2025 for six months.
About the Role
As Eventing Sport Manager (PL), you will be the driving force behind the smooth operation and development of Eventing competitions in New Zealand. Reporting to the Eventing Board Chair and ESNZ GM Community, you will oversee day-to-day operations, event coordination, sponsorship management, and communication within the Eventing community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the go-to person for Eventing members, providing guidance and support.
- Engaging with stakeholders, including event organisers, officials, riders, and volunteers.
- Coordinating the annual Eventing calendar and ensuring compliance with ESNZ and FEI regulations.
- Managing the operations of ESNZ Eventing
- Supporting the Board’s and Technial Advisory Group’s initiatives.
- Developing communication, including social media and member updates.
- Overseeing financial administration.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong passion and knowledge of equestrian sport, particularly Eventing.
- Proven experience in administration, project/event management, or sport coordination.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- The ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, website management, and database systems.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work flexible hours.
