ESNZ is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Board member as the organisation continues to develop its governance leadership.
Glenn Forster brings a wealth of senior executive experience, covering the strategic, commercial, and operational facets of businesses across a diverse range of industries, from small enterprises to large organisations. His background in accounting and his approach – which brings a strong emphasis on people – have helped him to achieve major cultural and financial improvements within multiple business sectors. As the Chief Executive of award-winning law firm McCaw Lewis based in Waikato, Glenn’s leadership was recognised when he was shortlisted for Law Firm Leader of the Year (<100 lawyers) at the 2023 New Zealand Law Awards.
For the past 17 years Glenn has had a continued involvement with horses through his two daughters, with oldest daughter Olivia still competing at showjumping up to Grand Prix level.
ESNZ Board Chair Lynda Clark says she is delighted to have Glenn on the Board, adding to the high calibre of Board directors, who demonstrate strong governance, legal, financial and commercial expertise.
“Not only does Glenn bring vast business and financial experience, he also brings an understanding of the uniqueness of equestrian sport through his ongoing connections to our community,” says Lynda.
The ESNZ Board consists of a Chair of each of four Disciplines (Dressage, Jumping and Show Hunter, Eventing and Endurance), one representative for the two National Equestrian Centres and four Appointed Board Members.
