This week Parasport has launched a new competition and we know that Equestrian can outperform our competitor sports which include Athletics NZ, Basketball NZ, Swimming NZ, and Table Tennis NZ.
For the period of 16 September – 30 November 2024 we need to drive the fresh uptake of Paralympics New Zealand’s LevelUp coaching modules, supported by ACC.
How could Equestrian NZ win? We need to get the most registrations that complete a minimum of the first two modules (i.e. Introduction to Para sport; Classification for Coaches).
What is LevelUp?
LevelUp is a series of free online modules for coaching disabled athletes no matter whether you are just starting out or want to grow your skills. These modules will help you gain confidence, knowledge, and capability coach and support Para athletes.
When is the competition?
16 September – 30 November 2024.
Someone signed up and completed the modules already, does that count as one participant for my national sports organisation?
Congratulations on completing LevelUp. Unfortunately, this competition is for a fixed period between 16 September – 30 November 2024 only.
Who is eligible to win?
The participating national sports organisations are Athletics NZ, Basketball NZ, Equestrian Sports NZ, Swimming NZ, and Table Tennis NZ. Each national sports organisation must have a minimum of 25 registrations and they must have completed a minimum of 2 modules to be eligible for the prize.
What does the national sports organisation win?
$1000 catering shout!
How do we know what club to give the money to? Can we decide the money over several clubs?
The funds will be paid to the winning national sports organisation. If you win, you can choose how you allocate the catering funds. An alternative option could be to spend it on catering during an in-person coaching workshop, hosted in the 24/25 summer.
