Equestrian Sports New Zealand have named an exciting team to compete in the Young Rider Trans-Tasman clash being held in Sydney next month.
Two members of the January 2024 winning Young Rider Team have been selected again, they are South Islanders Johanna Wylaars (Christchurch) and Emma Gillies (Oamaru). They are joined by fellow Cantabrian, Molly Moffatt (Christchurch) and recently selected Talent ID squad member, Olivia Newsom (Tauranga). Charlotte Conder (Wellington) is the non-travelling first reserve and the second reserve is Australia-based Liam Rutland.
The 1.20m indoor competition, being run at the Sydney Show Jumping World Cup from August 16 – 18, is done on borrowed horses with teams swapping mounts over the three days. Jumping high performance manager, Oliver Edgecombe will travel with the team as Chef d’Equipe.
