Kiwi showjumpers and eventers are chasing those all-important Olympic qualifications once again, this time at Longines PfingstTurnier Wiesbaden in Germany.

Tim and Jonelle Price are competing in the CCI4*-S aboard Coup de Coeur Dudevin and Hiarado respectively. Both are chasing qualifications that will make them eligible for selection for the Paris Olympic Games. Bernd Backhaus (GER) is the cross country course designer for the 4* which gets underway with the dressage on Friday morning, followed by the showjumping in the afternoon, and cross country on Saturday. The class has 15,000 Euro prize pool.

There’s a trio of New Zealanders competing in the CSI4* showjumping. Phillip Steiner lines up on his FEI World Cup finalist Cassina Dior. The Tauranga combo are the only offshore based New Zealand jumpers to have their complete Olympic qualifiers.Also competing this week, and chasing qualifiers, are Uma O’Neill with her new mount Luigi d’Eclipse and Messi 10. Daniel Meech is in aboard Ortolaan van het Ruytinxbos and Casalligo.

Peter Schumacher (GER) is the course designer for the CSI4* showjumping which kicks off with a six bar competition on Friday and runs through to Monday and has a prize purse of 257,700 Euros including 105,50 Euros for the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden.
