ASHBURTON - Hannah Bennett
Hannah Bennett & Aintree Pierrette – ASHBURTON
Hannah is 10 years old and goes to Wakanui School. She attends Tinwald Pony Club where she has been for the last 5 years and has her D+ Certificate.
Hannah has been riding since she was 4 years old, with her first pony being a miniature called Glitter. She now rides Penny (Aintree Pierrette) who she’s had for about a year.
Hannah has competed in lots of Pony Club events over the years in jumping, dressage and games. She als0 really enjoyed doing some Intro show hunter classes last Summer.
Her goals for this season are to take Penny out to the Category A show hunter events in Ashburton and Christchurch and get a placing.

AUCKLAND- Grace Alderton
Grace Alderton & Snowmaker – AUCKLAND
Grace started riding when she was about 2 or 3 years old. Her first pony was called Leo and then she borrowed the legendary “Flash”. Flash taught Grace how to jump and ride much better. Now she has stolen her brother’s pony, Moonie (Snowmaker).
Grace had been trying to ride Moonie for about a year but he was a bit speedy for her to manage, but now they have control (most of the time).
Grace is 8 years old and attends Te Hihi Primary School in Karaka.
She has done lots of show jumping days at Woodhill Sands and Papatoetoe PC and even one at Takapoto which she loved. Grace is currently jumping 80cm and schooling 90cm at home. “I love show jumping because it’s fast and fun on Moonie, I feel like I’m flying”.
Grace’s goals are to do more shows over Summer and compete at HOY in Show Hunter and the Show Jumping Equitation class.

BOP - Anna Logie
Anna Logie & Ruby’s Spirit – BAY OF PLENTY
Twelve year old Anna comes from Tauranga and attends Tauranga Waldorf School. She goes to Papamoa/Mount Pony Club where she has been for the last 3 years.
Anna has been riding Ruby (Ruby’s Spirit) for the last 14 months but has been riding for a total of 5 years.
Anna has been successfully jumping 80-90cm show jumping rounds and competed at local SJ and practice days. Also giving local ODE’s and hunting a go.
Their goal for the season is to competitively jump 90-1m rounds and attend some bigger shows. Anna wants to continue working on her skills as a rider and have a lot of fun with her pony.

CENTRAL DISTRICTS - Amanda Renting
Amanda Renting & Rhapsody II – CENTRAL DISTRICTS
Amanda is 11 years old and goes to Newbury School in Palmerton North. She has been going to Palmerston North Pony Club for the last 3 years where she has gained her C Certificate.
Amanda has been riding since she could walk but has only had her own pony for the last four years. Rhapy (RhapsodyII) have been together since September 2023.
They have been competing in show jumping up to 80cm, eventing at 65cm and have started doing Category C show hunter. They had a great time at the North Island Secondary Schools competition recently, winning the 80cm jumping overall for years 7-13. WOW!!!!!
They are hoping to do 85cm jumping and maybe 90cm, more show hunter, step up to 80cm in eventing and she would like to sit her C+ certificate by the end of the PC season. One of Amanda’s big goals is to compete at HOY in 2025 and she is working hard to qualify Rhapy.

CENTRAL & SOUTHERN HAWKES BAY - Hannah Lovelock
Hannah Lovelock & Dajata Splash – CENTRAL & SOUTHERN HAWKES BAY
Sixteen year old Hannah has just started at Central Hawkes Bay Pony Club and attends Dannevirke High School.
She has been riding for 10 years but has had Splash (Dajata Splash) for the last 2 years.
Hannah has been show jumping at 80cm, done sports and practice days at 90cm, been hunting and done hunter trials with Dannevirke Hunt.
Hannah’s goals for the season are to start competing at 90cm-1m and give show hunter a try. And to definitely get out to more shows.

GISBORNE - Shannon Kanz
Shannon Kanz & Handsom Hank – GISBORNE
Shannon has just turned 14 and attends Campion College in Gisborne. She has just started at Gisborne Pony Club this year.
Shannon has been riding consistently for the last 2 years and purchased Hank (Handsom Hank) at the end of 2023. He was only 5 years old and had not done a lot.
Shannon and Hank competed in their local Winter series jumping from 50cm to 70cm. They were the overall winners for the novice pony section. They have done a few practice days but this will be their first proper season doing jumping and show hunter.
Their goal for the season is to compete at show jumping and show hunter up to 80cm with clear rounds. Shannon is excited to learn and get experience together with Hank.

GISBORNE - Eva Jean Henry
Eva Jean Henry & Hololio Sparkling Rose – GISBORNE
Eva is 12 years old and attends Campion College in Gisborne. She has also been riding at Pine Hollow Equestrian since mid 2023.
Eva has been riding on and off all her life but it has just been in the last year that she has started getting regular lessons.
Eva and “Rosie” (Hololio Sparkling Rose) have been together since March 2024. This is their first season out competing.
Their goal for this season is to get out to get out competing and qualify for Horse of the Year. Eva just wants to get out there and gain more experience competing and have fun.

NORTHERN HAWKES BAY - Olivia Bayliss
Olivia Bayliss & Afallon’s Conquistador – NORTHERN HAWKES BAY
Eight year old Olivia has been riding since she was 4 years old. She goes to Poukawa School and attends Flaxmere Pony Club. She’s been going to Pony Club since she was 4 and is going to sit her D+ Certificate in November.
Olivia has been riding Tonto (Afallon’s Conquistador) for just over a year. They qualified to go to PC Show Hunter Champs and Olivia was lucky enough to win the Category A competition. It’s their first season doing A&P shows and they have been to Gisborne and Hawkes Bay so far. She also did her first “First Start Eventing” last year and place 3rd.
The goal for this season is to qualify for HOY in Cat A and get better at the Equitation classes and have fun with her friends.

NORTHLAND - Sophie Ecochard
Sophie Ecochard & D’Pixelator – NORTHLAND
Sophie is 14 years old and has been riding for 10 years. Her pony “Pixie” (D’Pixelator) have been together for just a year.
Sophie attends Whangerei Girls High School and goes to Whakapara Pony Club where she has gained her C+ Certificate.
She has competed in local A&P shows, ribbon days, eventing, show jumping and show hunter days.
Sophie’s goal for the season is to get confident with her pony and to jump some rounds of up to 90cm in show jumping.

OTAGO - Charlee Eaton
Charlee Eaton & BR Mission Impossible – OTAGO
Fourteen year old Charlee goes to Taieri College and for the last 4 years has attended Brighton Pony Club, where she is working toward her C Certificate.
She was lucky enough to get the ride on Mish (BR Mission Impossible) after her own pony was injured at the beginning of the year. Thanks goes to the Beattie family for offering her the ride.
Charlee has competed at A&P shows doing showing and RTR and has also jumped up to 80cm in SJ and eventing. She has also done some full wire hunting on Mish during the 2024 season.
Their goals for the season are to jump 90cm SJ consistently and accurately. They have never done Show Hunter before but would love to give it a go. Charlee also wants to compete at the Springston Trophy 2024.

SCNO - Bella Parke
Bella Parke & Silverstream Keeper – SCNO
Bella is 17 years old and attends McKenzie College. She has been going to Pleasant Point Pony Club for the last 1 1/2 years and has her D+ certificate.
Bella has been riding for 7 years, but her and “Florence” (Silverstream Keeper) have been together for 2 1/2 years. They have competed together for the last 2 years up to 90cm show jumping, 80cm eventing, level 2 dressage and have also dabbled in Round the Ring and Working Hunter classes.
Their goals for the season are to compete at 1m+ and grow in confidence and experience. Bella would also like to bring on some young horses

SOUTHLAND - Sharon Walter
Sharon Walter & Paddington Bear – SOUTHLAND
Sharon is 22 years old and has been riding for 8 years. She has had her current partner Ross (Paddington Bear) for the last 18 months.
Sharon has previously competed at showing in the last two seasons of A&P shows.
Her goals with Ross this season are to compete for a season at 80-90cm and progress up from there when Ross is capable of it. They are simply aiming for a chilled season and to build a good partnership together.
It is Sharon’s first time show jumping competitively and she is still fairly new to the jumping world.

SOUTHLAND - Talia Turner
Talia Turner & Mac Daddy – SOUTHLAND
Talia goes to Fiordland College and attends Te Anau Pony club. She has been going there for the last 2-3 years and has her C Certificate.
Talia started riding about 7-8 years ago and has had some wonderful partners in that time, including Bow, Jaffa and Blackberry. Her current partner is “Mac” (Mac Daddy) and this will be their first season together.
She has done lots of show jumping and a fair bit of cross country on her previous pony Magnum. They did 90cm showjumping and 65cm cross country which he flew over and they had a blast. So far on Mac, Talia has only done a couple Pony Club’s and some practice show jumping days.
Their goals for this season are to see how far they can take things and to hopefully jump 1.10 m by the end of the season in a proper show. Talia has always wanted to compete to at least 1 m and is very happy to have the opportunity to do that this season.

TARANAKI - Matilda Johnson
Matilda Johnson & Awatai Henessey – TARANAKI
Matilda is a keen young rider who has found her show jumping bug ready to tackle her first season. Matilda and her gorgeous pony Stanley have been working hard over winter doing local Show Hunter shows as well as Cat C at Show Hunter Champs in October.
Matilda and Stanley’s end of season goal is to be competing at 1m! She one day hopes to be doing Pony Grand Prix. Matilda gets weekly lessons with talented local rider, Parys Marshall!
TEJ are thrilled to support Matilda and Stanley this season and beyond in their jumping careers!

WAIRARAPA - Hannah Firth
Hannah Firth & Pint Size Miracle – WAIRARAPA
Hannah is 14 years old and goes to Kuranui College. She attends Wairarapa Pony Club where she has been for the the last 3 years and has gained her D+ Certificate.
Hannah and Rosie (Pint Size Miracle) have been together for the past 18 months. They have attended some local shows and gymkhanas, eventing and dressage days.
Their goals for the season are to jump and successfully compete up to 1m.

WAITEMATA - Natasha Fielding
Natasha Fielding & Chacco Eclipse – WAITEMATA
Natasha goes to Kaipara College and attends Helensville Pony Club and has her D Certificate. Sixteen year old Natasha has been riding on and off for the last 10 years.
Luna (Chacco Eclipse) was started under saddle last year and then turned out as a 3 year old and Natasha has just started riding her again in August.
Natasha has previously done some ODEs on her mum’s horses, Pepsi and River and on lease horses, Rough and Hershey. She has also done some show jumping with River but Luna is only now 4 so she hasn’t been to a competition yet.
Natasha’s goals with Luna for this season is to get out to some grass roots days and to hopefully get to a couple of Woodhill sands GP shows. She also hopes to some more jumping on River so she can get some more experience while Luna is still growing.

WELLINGTON - Maddy Graham
Maddy Graham & Apache Khamtastic – WELLINGTON
Maddy is 12 years old and goes to Pauatahanui Primary School. She attended Belmont Pony Club for 6 years, but has just started at Upper Valley Pony Club a month ago. She has her D+ Certificate.
Maddy has been riding for 10 years but has been with her partner “Kham” (Apache Khamtastic) for the last 1 1/2 years.
Maddy is really proud that she recently won the MPC Show Hunter Champs in Category C on Kham. They also had a successful year in the Wellington/Hutt Valley Pony Club Show Hunter circuit, winning on Kham and coming 2nd on her other pony, Elli. She also won the Equitation series title.
Maddy and Kham will be doing their best to qualify for Show Hunter at HOY. She would also like to step up to do some eventing at 80cm and aim to be at 95cm by the end of the season. She is also hoping to be selected for Timberlands. And to top that off, she would also like to compete in some L2-L3 dressage.
Sounds like you will be very busy this season Maddy!!!
