The 2023 Pacific League Dressage World Cup Final was a resounding victory for Melissa Galloway & Windermere J’Obei W (Marlborough)rounding up an incredible 2023 year for the pair, booking a ticket to the World Cup Final in Riyadh and with their sights firmly set on the Paris Olympics. NZL now plays the waiting game until 31 December when the FEI Group G rankings are announced, but todays Freestyle score is expected to put Galloway even further into the lead to secure a place for NZL. The pair also scored a personal best and NZL record in the Grand prix test yesterday.
Todays 79.24% 4CTYE Freestyle Grand Prix firmly established their world class performances and consistency.
Waitemata’s Wendi Williamson and her young Grand Prix horse Don Vito MH showed plenty of power and expression with exciting things to come for this pair as the horse gains more experience.
Former Olympian Kallista Field (Pahiatua) scored 70.830 on Felix Westfalia FEI in the CDI3*. Field represented NZL at the 2000 Sydney Olympics when she was just 19yrs old and it is great for the sport to have her back at this level again
