The New Zealand Nations Cup team is sitting fifth with two Kiwis in the top 10 after the first day of dressage at the Military Boekelo-Enschede in The Netherlands.
Jonelle Price and Senor Crocodillo is the best of the New Zealand combinations, sitting in seventh place after a 27.6 penalty point dressage effort. Tim Price and Jarillo are in 10th on 29, with James Avery and Dallas notching 35.5.
Julia Krajewski (GER) and Nickel 21 lead the 112-strong field on 23.8, followed by Nicolas Touzaint (FRA) aboard Diabolo Menthe on 25.4 and Kevin McNab (AUS) on Miss Pepperpot on 25.5.
The trio accumulatively scored 92.1 in the Nations Cup competition, putting them in fifth place of the 12 teams. Germany leads on 82.3, followed by Great Britain on 84.9 and France in third on 86.5.
The rest of the individual field will complete their dressage tests overnight, including Jonelle with Clever Louis.
