World no.3 Tim Price is the best of the Kiwis after the opening day of dressage at the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials in the UK.

Tim and Jarillo sit in third place in the CC4*-S for eight and nine-year-olds on a score of 26.7 penalty points with around half the field having completed their dressage. It’s tight at the top where Tom McEwen (GBR) and MHS Brown Jack lead on 24.6 with Piggy March (GBR) aboard Brookfield Future News right behind them on 24.7. James Avery and Dallas 13 sit just outside the top 10 on 30.

Jonelle Price and Senor Crocodillo scored 31, Tim aboard Viscount Viktor sit on 32.4, Jonelle with Fernhill Kankan 34.1, Tayla Mason on Joopiter 35.6, and Hollie Swain aboard Ballycroskerry Regal Diamond 38.2. Still to come are Jonelle with Chilli’s Midnight Star and Tim on Chio 20.

The Kiwis competing in the CCI4*-L have yet to start.
