Tim Price is well in touch with the leaders in the CCI4*-S for eight and nine-year-olds at the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials in the UK at the completion of the dressage.

Tim and Chio 20 are in fourth spot on 25.1 penalty points, and he’s also in fifth, aboard Jarillo in 26.7. Tom McEwen (GBR) and MHS Brown Jack held his overnight lead of 24.6, with the newly crowned Burghley winner Oliver Townend in second aboard Cooley Rosalent on 24.7, and Piggy March (GBR) with Brookfield Future News third on 24.7.

James Avery and Dallas 13 sits on 30 in 24th slot with Jonelle 31st and 32nd respectfully aboard Chilli’s Midnight Star on 30.9 and Senor Crocodillo on 31. Tim and Viscount Viktor scored 32.4, Jonelle with Fernhill Kankan notched 34.1, Tayla Mason and Joopiter posted 35.6, and Hollie Swain with Ballycoskerry Regal competed a 38.8 penalty point test in the 95-strong field.

The CCI4*-L top nine is dominated by the Brits bar Samantha Lissington on Lord Seekonig who sit in eighth on 28.7. Caroline Powell and CBI Aldo are just inside the top 20 on 31.3, while Dan Jocelyn and Blackthorn Cruise posted 33.8, and Joe Meyer with Harbin scored 38.1 in the 93-strong field. Yasmin Ingham (GBR) and Banzai Du Loir leads on 20.5, with Ros Canter (GBR) and Izilot DHI in second on 21.6, and Gemma Stevens (GBR) aboard Jalapeno III in third on 25.6.

The action continues tonight with the cross country in the CCI4*-L and showjumping in the CCI4*-S.
