It’s a busy wee Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials for a clutch of Kiwi eventers lining up in both the CCI4*-L and CCI4*-S amongst some rather big fields.

There are nearly 100 combinations on the card in the CCI4*-L including Samantha Lissington with Lord Seekonig, Dan Jocelyn and Blackthorn Cruise, Caroline Powell and CBI Aldo, and – from across the Atlantic – Joe Meyer with Harbin.

There are similar numbers in the CCI4*-S – the championship event for eight and nine-year-olds – where Jonelle Price will compete aboard Fernhill Kankan, Senor Crocodillo and Chilli’s Midnight Star. Tim Price is in on Viscount Viktor, Jarillo and Chio 20, while Tayla Mason rides Joopiter, James Avery is aboard Dallas 13, and Hollie Swain will compete on Ballycoskerry Regal Diamond.

Blenheim is a popular event on the circuit where both Jonelle Price and Andrew Nicholson are multiple winners.

The next two days are filled with dressage, followed by the CCI4*-L cross country and the CCI4*-S showjumping on Saturday, and the final tests in each class on Sunday.
