The Hall of Fame Finalists await as we count down to the ESNZ Hall of Fame Awards night (in-conjunction with the combined 2023 AGM featuring Dressage NZ, ESNZ Eventing, and ESNZ Jumping & Show Hunter) to be held on Friday 30 June to Sunday 2 July at Rydges Latimer Christchurch

Combined Discipline AGM

At the Combined AGM on Saturday 1st July, keynote speaker Professor Natalie Waran will present on horse welfare.

Professor Natalie Waran will present on the “Social Licence to Operate / Good Life for the Horse”.  Natalie has recently returned to New Zealand after attending the FEI Sports Forum held in Lausanne, Switzerland in April where she was the invited chairperson of the new FEI Equine Ethics and Wellbeing Commission.  Based in the Hawke’s Bay, Natalie (Nat) is an internationally recognised equine behaviour and welfare scientist with an extensive and impressive academic career. Over the past 30+ years, she has researched and published across a range of areas including; horse transport, indicators of equine stress and pain, equine problem behaviour and equine quality of life and welfare assessment.
