Calling all owners of TBs who Event – if you haven’t entered the New Zealand Three Day Event Championships, at Dunstan Fiber Fresh NEC Taupō, yet, then you might want to consider and get your entry in by tomorrow, so you can have a crack at some of the amazing prize money that New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing and New Zealand Bloodstock have put forward this season for eligible TBs!

TiES (or Thoroughbreds in Equestrian Sports) has been going for a number of years now, proudly sponsored by NZTR.  This year the prize money doubles for the TiES Series and the last event for collecting points for the Eventing series is this coming weekend at Rotorua.  Winners will be presented at the NZ Three Day with first place taking away a sweet $2,000!  Lizzie Green’s Comanche II currently has a strong lead overall in the series on 94 points with Shillings (Savanna Stirling) not far behind on 85.  Who will tie up the leaderboard this year??

A new award up for grabs, and being contested at the NZ Three Day Event Championships, is the TiES Best Performed TB.  For this new competition, also brought to you by New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing, prizes will be given to the highest placed eligible Thoroughbreds in each of the 1*-4* Championship Classes.  Again, there is some super prize money up for grabs with the top placed TB in each class walking away with $1,000!  Awards are also given out to second and third place TB in each class.

Finally, we have another new Award for this season, being kindly sponsored by New Zealand Bloodstock, for the Newcomer Thoroughbred.  This is awarded in each discipline (Dressage, Eventing and Jumping), to eligible thoroughbreds competing in their first registered season with ESNZ.  In each discipline the NZB Newcomer will be awarded $2,000.  It really is worth having a thoroughbred!
