A new Dressage Performance Pathway and High Performance Program has been developed and now being implemented by the newly appointed Dressage High Performance Manager Penny Pearce.
The ESNZ Dressage High Performance Programme is calling for applications for the new Talent Identification (ID) Squad for 2023 – applications close Friday 14th April 2023 and should include the Rider’s recent performance record.
The Talent Identification squad is an opportunity for younger riders to be introduced to new skills that will develop them as dressage riders. The Talent ID Programme provides one squad camp per year and one off horse camp.
To be eligible to apply, you must:
• Be between the ages of 17-25 as at 1 January 2023; and be
• Currently competing at Medium level.
• Act in accordance with ESNZ Constitution, Regulations, the Code of Conduct and other ESNZ policies
In addition, our selectors will be looking for riders demonstrating talent and displaying the following characteristics:
• Coachable
• Desire to learn
• Self-resilience
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work with others
• Embracing new learnings
The Dressage Selectors will consider applicants that meet the above criteria and may contact you for a further discussion and/or watch you compete at competitions.
