North Island and South Island Equestrian Championships 2022
It was a massive week of competition for the inaugural Secondary Schools Equestrian Championships in both the North and South Islands 29 August – 1 September.
Four days of competitions at the two National Equestrian Centres at McLeans Island and Taupō, 346 students, 406 horses, 4 disciplines plus off horse activities and a whole lot of fun.
Thank you to all the schools for supporting the events, the students, parents, teachers, coaches, managers, supporters, volunteers and officials who all contributed to the success.

Two new trophies donated to the SISS event for Show Hunter performances were;
The Kay Hogan Trophy for the Best Performed Show Hunter Pony, was won by My Buffalo Soldier ridden by Eva Wylaars
The Goliath Memorial Salver for the Best Performed Show Hunter Horse, was won by TE Florentina ridden by Luci Shanks.
