Everyone here at ESNZ hopes you and your equine(s) are enjoying your winter break or training! As you all know we are operating in difficult times, whilst the world starts to rebalance two years into the pandemic and with the impact  from other global activity beyond our control. ESNZ is committed to working for our members to provide opportunities to go out and compete at events. To ensure we can do this we have had to review our membership fee structure for the 2022 -2023 season.

The ESNZ Board has evaluated the current climate of the sports sector along with the need to keep our sport accessible and affordable for our members. The outcome is that ESNZ will look to use the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as a tool to review fees on an annual basis. We will look to use the CPI as reported by Stats NZ in the December quarter each year to guide our decisions for the following competition season.

This year, CPI increased 5.9% as of 31 December 2021. Inevitably, the cost of our operations has also increased. Therefore we wish to advise members that we will be increasing the fees for the following:

  • Membership fees
  • Equine Registration fee
  • Showjumping / Show Hunter annual start fee
