Day one of Dunstan Horse Feeds Dressage for Denmark started on a wet and gloomy Taupo day with the arrival inspection for the CDI and CDIY horses and arena familiarization
But the behind the scenes team has been hard at work and the indoor stadium is looking fabulous as the horses came in n for the first arena familiarization followed by the Trot up
This is an all important event as our Grand Prix riders look towards the World Championships in Herning in early August.
Sadly two of the combinations who were looking to get get their first FEI qualifying score of 66%, Vanessa Way’s NSC Andreas and Wendi Williamson’s Don Vito MH have both been withdrawn. Lucarne Dolley’s Ardmore is also a non starter leaving just five combinations to contest the CDI Grand Prix. Te Aroha’s Gaylene Lennard and the super talented Jax Johnson are still in contention with a plan to possibly head to the Sydney CDI at the end of April for a further qualifying chance.
The One Black Horse paperless scoring system will be used in conjunction with the live stream to enable the FEI Judges Supervisory panel of David Hunt (GBR) and Mary Seefried (AUS) to validate the marks of all NZL FEI judge panel to determine if any NZL combinations are awarded the FEI qualifying standard.
