The Jumping Board welcomes Thomas Gardner as a co-opted member.  Thomas grew up on a sheep farm near Waimate and began riding ponies at 5 years old, continuing in jumping through his teens until taking on full time study at Lincoln University where he completed a B Comm in Economics and Finance.

He has been a member of SCNO Area Committee for 12 years and a member of the National Showjumping Committee since 2016, including two years as Show Director.

For the past 7 years Thomas has worked for ANZ where he is a Relationship Manager for high-risk lending across business and corporate divisions, where the focus is on turnarounds and restructuring. This role requires the ability to interpret financial information, and work with people empathetically to solve what can sometimes be complex and challenging business problems.

Thomas brings to the Board his experience in our sport as a competitor and organiser, along with a strong financial and economic skillset which will be an asset in governance and setting future strategy and vision.
