Bates NZ DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Taupo NEC 24 -26 March 2022 

The Bates National Championships  event will run over three days, Thursday to Saturday with the Grand Prix Freestyle and Young Dressage Horse Finals  featuring in the stadium on Saturday night

Subject to FEI approval, the event will include  a CDI3*, CDIY, and CDIP. 

The North Island Super 5 League Series qualifiers will be featured on the first day of the event with prizegiving held Friday evening. (The finals will now be held at the North Island Championships in May) The full schedule will be published on EvoEvents in December and entries will open on 4th January 2022

Revised Eligibility:

Owing to Covid restrictions in the first part of the season for a number of areas, the Dressage NZ Board has approved the following amended qualification criteria to increase qualification opportunities for riders affected by lockdowns

From **1 August 2020 until date of close of entries (previously 1 Jan 2021)

If excessive entries are still received, wait lists and balloting may be implemented if necessary

** Northland, Waitemata, Auckland and Waikato combinations may qualify at a Local or Premier League Event and may have qualified in a lower grade.

 

Combinations from all other areas must qualify at a Premier League Event and in the grade they wish to compete at where applicable ie. Levels 1-6.

Young Dressage Horse Classes

No prior qualification but the OC reserves the right to restrict numbers. If balloting is required priority will be given to horses who have scored at least 65% at a Premier League Event.

Proof of age of horse must be verified on ESNZ database by breed papers or passport, or other approved documentation
