Harrison Lane’s show barn in Waiau Pa. The property is a perfect example of Harrison Lane’s skillset with a 65×35 Ebb & Flow arena, 1km all-weather riding track and stables with an integrated country home and extensive garaging.

End-to-end projects are a specialty of Harrison Lane and their efforts haven’t gone unnoticed at the highest national level. For the second consecutive year, the company has received the Master Builders House of the Year regional sustainability excellence award as well as silver and bronze awards for their country home entries.

Company director Laura Daly says the team enjoys working with clients to develop their own lifestyle dreams. “Our end-to-end projects are a Harrison Lane specialty,” she says. “The planning and execution of an entire farm or lifestyle project, all managed by Harrison Lane for the client removes the stress of juggling multiple sub-contractors.”

They’ve got a wide range of projects underway – from stables to barns, country homes, Ebb & Flow arenas and more. “We are always learning, each project is an opportunity for us to tweak our processes and improve the delivery of our services,” says Laura.

It is the third season Harrison Lane has sponsored the pro-am series. “We have really enjoyed feeling a part of the series,” says Laura. “We receive messages and updates from riders throughout the country and really appreciate them taking the time to tag us in their updates so we can follow their progress and share in their success.”

Laura and the Harrison Lane team have been made to feel very welcome by committees who have invited them to social events around the shows.

“We are looking forward to seeing everyone out there this season at the shows, especially after a challenging start.”

Laura grew up in the United Kingdom and it was her love of equestrian that drew her Down Under on her OE. She quickly settled into life in New Zealand, working as a showjumping and hunting groom. She then moved into the rural division of a large construction company where her extensive knowledge of equestrian requirements came to the fore. When the company decided to pull out of that market to concentrate on the commercial sector, Laura stepped up to form Harrison Lane. The rest, as they say, is history.

Laura and business partner Scott Munro now jointly lead the team that has become known for its top-notch design, construction and development of rural and lifestyle properties.

“Over the years, Harrison Lane’s strong heritage in equestrian construction has been complimented by the addition of country homes and earthworks,” says Laura. “We continue to expand our equipment and capabilities, as our team grows we are focused on retaining a strong company culture and positive environment to work in.”

More and more, Harrison Lane projects encompass an end-to-end development of a farm or lifestyle property. “We work with the client to develop a plan for the entire property from the outset, creating a scheme plan for the site that maps layout, fencing, drainage and farm tracks, along with the design and build of barns, cottages and country homes.”
