The Dressage Board continues to monitor the impact of COVID on the National Dressage Series & Events

Changing levels across Waikato and Auckland, and the isolation of Northland, is impacting events throughout the North Island with two Premier League Events (Central Districts & Auckland) postponed until February

We are pleased to see the 100 people gathering restriction for Level 2 regions  has been lifted today which will be a game changer for many, but the Board remains vigilant on the Level 3 situations in Auckland and the Waikato.  Refer to ESNZ Alert level Update

The situation will continue to be closely monitored and should a significant inequality in respect of series points opportunities develop,  the Board reserves the right to retrospectively apply a change to Series results calculations.  Any changes will be communicated via social media channels and website.  Our very valued sponsors are also dealing with COVID level issues in their own businesses, so please continue your support for them during these tough times.

Qualifications for Land Rover Horse of the Year and the Bates National Championships remain, but will be reviewed if deemed necessary

The Board continues to support and encourage any event that chooses to run how and when they are able and applauds those Area Committees that continue to do so

We remind everyone of the importance of following all public health notices, event conditions and instructions from show organisers.  Competitors want to be out at events as soon as possible however we must also keep our sport and participants safe and well.

To assist organisers of Premier League Events, the Judges Sub-Committee with the approval of the Board has issued the following easement re Judges

Premier League and Regional Events areas may until further notice utilise  judges as for a “Local Event”, as per Article 441 in the DNZ Rules & Tech Manual, which eases the requirement for both number & level of judges. BUT the shows can still retain Premiere League status so qualifications for Nationals & HOY 2022 can still be gained by riders.
