Issue 49 of the Dressage NZ Bulletin has finally made it to you screens and pockets for you to enjoy for free. Though it’s a little late – it’s beautiful with thanks to the wonderful businesses who support us and the amazing photographers in this issue. Many of us should have been our way of preparing to go to the Horse of the Year Show right now. Our hearts go out to all of the HOY officials and organisers who put in so much work already only to be turned around just before the finish line.
We also recognise the tremendous efforts and strength of the Waikato Dressage Group who hosted the ORO Equestrian North Island Dressage Champs which was abruptly cancelled due to COVID last weekend.
But we are ok… we are healthy, our horses are healthy and as athletes we can be focused on enjoying the process of training not necessarily one particular outcome or event… There will be more shows for which we are thankful.
The underlying theme of this issue is Teamwork and friendships as inspired by our youth who continue to raise each other up on their journeys to the top.
Make sure you get out there and support our equestrian community and shop local – these businesses need us more than ever over the next 12 months so LET’S GO SHOPPING!!!
