Launched in January 2018, WADA’s Anti-Doping eLearning Platform (ADeL) supports the anti-doping community by providing education solutions for athletes, their support personnel and other stakeholders. With more than 100,000 users, ADeL has become the central hub for the Agency’s eLearning courses and education resources, including the Code Implementation Support Program (CISP), which the Agency developed to help Anti-Doping Organizations (ADOs) with implementation of the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards that enter into effect on 1 January 2021.

In 2020, WADA initiated development of a new and improved ADeL platform that will better suit the needs of its stakeholders. Scheduled to launch in January 2021, the new ADEL will have a modernized look and feel with improved visuals; and, will feature enhanced accessibility designs/fonts that are more universal and facilitate usability.

Along with its new design and functionalities, the platform will be renamed Anti-Doping Education and Learning (ADEL).  This will better reflect its mission of becoming the frontline education solution for all athletes, coaches, medical personnel and other stakeholders.

Created by WADA, the new ADEL will be modern, easy to navigate and personalized to its different users. Some of its attributes will include:

  • A new fully responsive mobile app to allow users to learn on the go
  • Courses available to complete offline
  • ADO training programs
  • Personalized learning plans
  • Community learning and question and answer center
  • Resource center for all education material
  • A dedicated help desk
