FEI ONLINE GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2020

A dedicated portal for the FEI Online General Assembly 2020 is now live. This new hub includes all the relevant information around the 2020 edition, with the timetable, key dates and deadlines as well as access to all the documents and information for the General Assembly (GA) week.

Only National Federations and Board Members are required to register for this GA. For all other participants and interested parties such as MOU signatories, industry professionals, guests, media, and the general public, there is no need to register as all documents will be available in the hub and the GA meeting on 23 November will be live streamed and available to watch on replay.

Since 2017, all annexes for the GA as well as agendas, presentations and rules revisions processes and feedback are available publicly in line with the transparency principle defined by the Association of Sports Olympic International Federation (ASOIF) and will be published accordingly (see below).

RETURN TO PLAY UPDATES

We would like to draw your attention to recent updates to the FEI Policy for Enhanced Competition Safety during the Covid-19 Pandemic (”Covid-19 Policy”) as well as the publication of new discipline-specific guidelines in compliance with the FEI Covid-19 Policy.

FEI Policy for Enhanced Competition Safety during the Covid-19 Pandemic
The main changes are found in Section V “Best Practice Recommendations for FEI Event Organisers” and can be summarised as follows:

  • Recommendation for OCs to provide instructions to follow by the different categories of persons who will attend the event in case they receive a SARS-CoV-2 positive test result, Covid-19 diagnosis or quarantine requirement notification. The aim of this new recommendation is to help the OC with Covid-19 related cancellations, entry screenings and follow up with the contact tracing authorities.
  • Recommendation to OCs that gatherings that are not absolutely essential to the event, such as parties, should be avoided (this helps reduce the overall Covid-19 transmission risk associated with the event).
  • Clarification of the consequences of the removal of a team member due to Covid-19.
