Caroline Powell and Greenacres Special Cavalier have finished 17th in the CCIYH3*-L for seven-year-olds at the FEI WBFSH Eventing World Breeding Championship for Young Horses at Mondial du Lion in France.
The Kiwi combo were one of just seven to go clear and inside time in the showjumping to finish the event on 51.4 penalty points. The class was won by Sophie Leube (GER) aboard Sweetwaters Ziethen TSF who led from the get-got and finished on her 27.6 dressage score.
The CSIYH2*-L for six-year-olds was won by Ingrid Klimke (GER) aboard Cascamara, finishing on their 27.4 penalty point dressage score. Tom McEwan (GBR) and MHS Brown Jack, who had led through the dressage and cross country tests, picked up eight faults in the showjumping to drop to sixth.
