Tim Price is purring after his 17-year-old campaigner Wesko posted his best ever CCI5* dressage score with a 23 penalty point effort at Les Etoiles de Pau in France.

“I am really happy,” said the world NO. 2. “We took it up a notch today. Wesko was on board and felt great.”

The 48-strong field is led by Laura Collett (GBR) aboard London 52 on 21.3 with Chris Burton (AUS) and Graf Liberty on 22 and Piggy March (GBR) at Brookfield Inocent on 22.2 in third.
Tim and Ringwood Sky Boy are in 14th on 27.2 with Jonelle Price and Grovine de Reve 23rd on 30.3, Tim and Xavier Faer 26th on 31.5, and Jonelle with Faerie Dianimo not having their best outing on 36.9.

Tim says the cross country is “strong enough”.

“It is never a walk in the park here and the time will be tight,” he says. “I am looking forward to the weekend with all three horses.”
