James Avery and Mr Sneezy bagged a top seven finish in the CCI4*-S at the Burgham International Horse Trials overnight.

The class was won by Rosalind Canter (GBR) aboard Allstar B on 21.7 with James and Mr Sneezy in seventh place on 28.5, Dan Jocelyn and Blackthorn Cruise in 17th on 37 and Caroline Powell with On the Brash just inside the top 20 on 38.8. Jesse Campbell and Diachello in their first event back since lockdown ended the day on a “pleasing” 43.5 and Tayla Mason aboard Centennial on 47.3. Hollie Swain and Solo completed for a score of 68.1.

The CCI4*-S (section L) was won by Oliver Townend (GBR) aboard Ballaghmor Class on 24.2 penalty points with Caroline Powell and Up Up and Away the best of the Kiwis on 43.8 in 20th. Dan Jocelyn and Florencina R finished on 53.5 penalty points with James Avery and One of a Kind II on 66.4.

The CCI2* classes will wrap up overnight.
