ESNZ National Dressage and Para Equestrian Championships Postponed

ESNZ Dressage and ESNZ wish to advise that owing to the uncertainty of the Covid-19 virus situation over the next thirty days, that the ESNZ Dressage Board has resolved to postpone the 2020 National Dressage and Para Equestrian Championships until the spring of 2020.
The major naming rights sponsor of the event, Bates Saddles, and Para Equestrian naming rights sponsors Webb Equestrian both fully support this decision and Dressage trusts that all other stakeholders will also respect and understand the reasons for the postponement.
Although the 25-28 March scheduled event may have complied with yet to be announced NZ Govt guidelines for holding events, ESNZ Dressage considers the safety of athletes, officials, sponsors, volunteers, spectators and their families is paramount.
It is imperative our sport does everything possible to ensure the future success of the event, and to also ensure all participants, event suppliers and contractors are given as much notice as possible in respect of any date change.
Further information and an announcement regarding a  new date will be made as soon as possible. Once this is confirmed, consideration will be given to the status of current entries and refund policies. Dressage requests participants patience in respect of this matter over of the next few days.
Thank you all for you understanding and support during this difficult global event that we face, and by taking these actions, it is hoped that Dressage is also seen to have contributed to the welfare of the wider community.
