From 1 December 2019 all horses being exported from NZ will be required to be micro-chipped. This is an MPI directive and will be checked by Assure Quality. Assure Quality also has the capability to insert microchips during their on farm inspections. If you are unsure about the requirements please call the company you are planning to use to export your horse(s) such as IRT, they will be able to help you further with any specific questions.
