A strong field of 13 Young Riders line up this weekend in the CCI3*-S at Rotorua to contest the Charisma Trophy. The title for Young Rider One Day Event Champion for the 2019-2020 season is being run as part of the CCI3*-S class at the Pub Charity Riverdale Horse Trial, which features some 17 other senior riders including Rio Olympian Clarke Johnstone. It is a big class with 32 on the start list and the Charisma Trophy will be awarded to the highest placed young rider in the class.

Current title holder, Vicky Browne-Cole is starting her lovely grey mare, Cutting Edge, and will be looking to add her name to the trophy for the second time this year, having won the 2018-2019 season title at Puhinui in March.

The Junior Rider Title, Hoffman Trophy, is being run in conjunction with the CCI2*-S class. Another big field with 27 on the start list, junior riders making up 7 of these. Current title holder, Jasmyne Speak is starting DSE Samalam alongside fellow junior riders Samuel Amon, Alena Dorotich, Ruby Sattler, Miya Fleming, Ella Morshuis and Mackenzie Marlo.
