Timaru based Jayne Beattie made the trip home to Otago worthwhile taking out the Dunstan Horsefeeds Amateur Rider at the Otago Area Spring Show, held at Mosgiel over the weekend. Jayne aboard Lowland Schnappes, a ride she recently took over from her sister, won the two-way Jump-off with Talia Allison and Mustang Shelby 2nd.

Local rider Noah Coutts riding Surreal won the Equifibre Junior Rider with a clear round in the jump-off, Sophie Townsend and Kingslea Kiwi had the faster time but took an unfortunate rail to place second.

Olivia Brown and RH Kukumoa were the winners of the FMG Young Rider Class.

The Equissage Horse Grand Prix was taken out by Nicole White riding LC Samson, Kimberleigh McCabe and Kace placed second, Young Rider Olivia Brown and RH Kukumoa were 3rd, Tyler McKee with the 8 year old Stratos finishing 4th.

Canterbury rider Sophie Geddes on Te Ngaio Raggamuffin jumped a double clear round to win the Country TV Pony Grand Prix Series ahead of Ella Wylie riding MF Spot Me who carried one time fault over from the first round. Samantha Gillies on Junior Disco placed 3rd, and Pippa Collins riding Waiotahi Belle finished 4th.

Three riders jumped clear first rounds in the Harrison Lane Pro-Am Series but Rik van Miltenburg riding Truly Unique were the only combination under time to take the win, Grace Percy and Kiwi Spirit placed 2nd, with Olivia Robertson and Grandaire 3rd.

Ring 1 was designed by Eryn Duffy. Local Otago course designers Emma Barker and Mark Whelan were in charge of Rings 2 and 3.
